We are a substantial group of Częstochowa university students established by the Lord himself. He revealed to us, deep in our hearts, that studying is not everything! You could say that the Almighty picked us up and we did not prove hard to get :)
We gather at the Chaplaincy for the Eucharist and the Eucharistic Adoration. At formative meetings we deepen our faith - sometimes learn it anew – and share with one another our life testimonies. In one word, much like the disciples of Emmaus, we follow Jesus in small steps.
Apart from spiritual growth we also look after the needs of our young bodies :) We organise St. Andrew’s, New Year’s Eve, carnival, and Juwenalia balls and - in order to stay sharp during the year - dance classes.
We also travel wherever we can: ski camps, picnics in the mountains, kayaking, World Youth Days, European Young Adults Meetings in Taizé – you name it. Attending community spiritual retreats is part of our tradition and no one quite knows what else we will come up with - watch this space :)
Our community teaches us to give ourselves to our fellow brothers and sisters. The Chaplaincy coordinates volunteer work in behalf of disabled children and children from families in need. At Christmas time, we change our jeans and pullovers for a Santa Claus costume and distribute gifts to the impoverished children of Częstochowa.
It is impossible to list everything we do, but there is really a lot going on here and we will definitely do more when you join us!
It is worth to remember that all we do, we do for the greater glory of God.
