Tuesday – evenings devoted to...

Tuesday is the day, which this academic year will be devoted to us – members of the Chaplaincy and to everyone who wishes to meet us or our guests. It is a time for cultural development, broadening of horizons; a time for meetings with interesting people… in one word – it is definitely time not wasted.

The Chaplaincy is family too
The first Tuesday of every month is the time when members of the Emmaus Chaplaincy meet to have some innocent fun. On this day we get to know one another better; we dance, sing, play musical instruments, or simply chat over a mug of coffee and some biscuits about whatever we feel like. It is a time, when we wish to feel that we are part of a large, loving family. After all, it is not true that familiarity breeds contempt – at least not in our case. Consider yourself invited!

Communication in the family
Every second Tuesday of the month is devoted to meetings with the representatives of the Emmaus Community of Families. At the meetings married and engaged couples, and those dreaming of having a significant other, learn how to shape their romantic relationships. Also, they learn how to lay the foundations for a future home filled with warmth, love and understanding.

Guests at the Chaplaincy (

Expect the unexpected on every third Tuesday of the month as every month a different special guest will pay a visit to our humble abode to share their testimony – be it a life testimony or professional one. We play host to authorities in the fields of science and sociology but we also invite ‘ordinary’ people living extraordinary lives.

Time for culture

Every fourth Tuesday of the month, we go out to the cinema or the theatre. Sometimes we meet at the Chaplaincy’s lecture hall to discuss an issue that deepens our sensitivity. Valuable films and plays, interesting books and inspiring exhibitions – nothing will escape our attention. What is more, on some Fridays we go to vernissages, on other days we meet at art galleries.
