The music group of the Emmaus Chaplaincy prepares the musical setting for Sunday Mass (Sunday, 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.). The group meets for rehearsals every Monday at 8:30 p.m. at the parish hall of the Chaplaincy. Rehearsals are an opportunity to practise singing or playing your instrument, but it is also an opportunity to meet new people... and ABOVE ALL to pray while singing.
We want our performance to be aesthetically pleasing both to people participating in the Mass and to us. It should be an expression of our faith in the glory of the Lord, who washes away our sin and forgives our trespasses.
We would like to welcome all those who do not want to bury their – big or small – musical talents. If you are still not sure whether you should join us, let me remind you the words of Goethe: ‘It's safe to sit down with people who sing; evil people have no songs at all.
