The Club of Honorary Student Blood Donors for the Polish Red Cross with its seat at the Częstochowa Polytechnic University and the Emmaus Chaplaincy was established on 16th November 2000. It has closely co-operated with the Częstochowa branch of the Polish Red Cross since then. This makes it possible for the members of the Club to receive medals of the Polish Red Cross commemorating the amount of blood they donated. Our club is the only student Honorary Blood Donors club in the Silesian voivodeship. Ever since its inception, the Club has been co-operating with the Chaplaincy in our ‘Przyłącz się do paczki’ (Polish: Join the gang and chip in) initiative aiming at giving St. Nicholas Day gifts to children from families in need. The seat of the club is located at the Chaplaincy’s formative house on ul. Kilińskiego 132.
Several times a year, we organize regional blood donations at various faculty buildings of the Częstochowa Polytechnic University in co-operation with the regional branch of the Polish Red Cross. What is more, anyone interested in donating blood not only during our campaigns can do so at the regional blood donation facility.
We would like to invite all university students to join us. Blood is a priceless gift – and you can share it with others. Do not be indifferent to the plight of others. Our Lord gave His blood to save us. Follow His example - you can save someone’s life. Just donate blood.
