Who are we and what are our aims?
The work of our Union is done by the broadly understood university community that co-creates student life through the promotion of rules and values that are in agreement with the social teachings of the Church.
Our most important aims have always been the same – to promote mutual help and inspire individual initiatives promoting the good of our community and society as a whole.
• What do we do?
Apart from that, we deepen the religious and cultural awareness of university students. This means we organize conferences, lectures, open discussion panels, workshops and retreats. We spend our free time preparing artistic events (so called ‘evenings of creativity’), outings (kayaking trips, hikes in the mountains) and charity events (work in behalf of children from impoverished families).
• Who do we co-operate with?
The Catholic Student Union co-operates with the Chaplaincy (The St. Iraneaus Personal University Parish) and with the Student Unions of Częstochowa universities.
• Why you?
Because the Union is wide open to all university students. All we require are fresh ideas, broad horizons, openness to new experience, the ability to engage in team work in a friendly environment and have good fun. What matters is this: simple and spontaneous ideas of great potential that we can put to life together.
• Formally
The Catholic Student Union is a registered organization and a legal entity. Persons entitled for membership are students of Częstochowa higher learning institutions and graduates of thereof up to one year of graduation. The seat of the Union is in Częstochowa. The Union is under the care of a chaplain – Fr. Marek Bator. The Union’s governing body is made up of:
